Falconry based bird abatement (FBBA) is a natural, environmentally friendly, sustainable, and cost-effective method of protecting crops, as it relies on the pest bird’s evolutionary fear of the raptor. The objective of FBBA is not to kill the nuisance birds, but merely to encourage them to go elsewhere by introducing the presence of a natural predator to the environment. Although the pest birds quickly adapt to other methods of crop protection, they will never lose their fear of birds of prey.
